Description
Marlyns is a house dating from the 17th century, with a late 20th-century extension. It has a timber frame with painted rendered infill panels and stone rubble extensions, topped by plain-tile roofs. The original structure has a T-shaped plan with a gable facing the street.
The exterior features two storeys and a one-storey attic. The front has a stone rubble gable-end with a 20th-century casement window above a projecting bay window that has a lean-to roof. To the left, there is a 20th-century extension wing that is set back. The left side displays completely restored square framing that is three panels high, with two 20th-century casement windows and roof-lights above. The right side also has square framing three panels high, with two 20th-century casement windows above three more 20th-century casement windows, and a central 20th-century glazed door with a tiled gabled open porch. There is a 20th-century extension wing to the right of the stone stack. The interior has not been inspected.
