WERRINGTON SX 38 NW 9/303 Headstones of A. Ward and A. - Charnley 3 metres to north of nave and resting against north wall of nave of Church of St Martin and St Giles GV II Two headstones. 1749 and 1747. Headstone in memory of Anne Ward who died in 1749. Slate headstone with shouldered round head inscribed in upper and lower case lettering with serifs. Headstone of Ann Charnley who died in 1747. Slate headstone with shouldered round head decorated with incised angel's head. The headstone resets against the north wall of the church.
