Description
The gate-piers, gate, and walls at the north entrance to Werrington Park date from around the mid-19th century. They are constructed of stone rubble with brick dressings. The entrance features a wide carriageway flanked by high stone rubble walls with saddle-back brick coping. The central entrance has simple granite gate-piers and a late 19th-century wrought iron barred gate. To the southwest, there is a round dressed stone arch in the wall that provides a narrower entrance for pedestrians, which is fitted with a timber slatted gate. This structure is part of a group with North Lodge.
