Description

The Vicarage is a vicarage built around 1836, as noted by the vicar. It is constructed from rendered and painted stone rubble and features a slate hipped roof with deep eaves. The building has rendered shafts to brick axial and lateral stacks. The layout consists of a double depth plan with the entrance located to the right of the center, leading into a passage with a stair on the left side. There are two principal rooms on the right side of the passage that overlook the garden, while service rooms are situated on the left. The original arrangement is unclear due to the vicarage being reduced in size in the 1970s, when the left-hand range and rear left wing were demolished.

The exterior is two stories high with an asymmetrical three-window entrance front, where the windows are positioned towards the left. It features 19th-century 12-pane sash windows. There is an original porch to the right of center, which includes corner pilasters, a heavy cornice, a blocking course, and a round arched doorway with moulded imposts and 19th-century double doors. To the right of the porch, there is a projecting chimney stack. The right-hand garden front has a symmetrical arrangement of 19th-century sashes. The interior retains contemporary chimney-pieces, joinery, and carpentry.
