Public house. C17 core, extended in C19. Timber-framed extended and infilled with painted brick, plain tiled roof. 3-storeyed, T-plan. Long range at right-angles to line of street, the front portion brick painted with mock timbering. Inserted casement windows on each floor. Rear portion of this range is partly timber-framed, with timbers of slight scantling, raised in brick, and also extended in later C19. Single axial stack on rear wall. Short cross wing has timber-framed core, refaced in brick painted with mock timbering, but exposed in gable end. Square panels with arch bracing, and thinner scantling timbers in upper storey, suggesting a later addition. Doorway in hipped roofed porch in angle, tripartite sash window with small upper panes, and heavy oriel sash above. 16-pane sash in upper storey. Gable end stack.
