Wellfield And Adjoining Outbuildings To North-West

Wellfield and the adjoining outbuildings to the northwest date from around 1840. The house is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a slate roof, arranged in two parallel ranges and standing two storeys high. It has deep eaves and integral stone end stacks. The front of the house has three bays with 16-pane glazing bar sash windows set beneath stone flat arches. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door sheltered by a Greek Doric porch, which has coupled columns supporting a frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The outbuildings to the northwest are built from coursed limestone rubble, with timber framed first floors that have painted brick nogging, and also feature a slate roof. These outbuildings are arranged in an L-plan and include stables, a coach house, and a loft.
