LEIGHTON Reynolds memorial and railed enclosure approx. 12m north-east of chancel of Church of St Mary

GV II

Pedestal tomb and railed enclosure. Circa 1816. Cast-iron. Tomb rectangular in section. Moulded plinth and capping with urn to chamfered top. Inscription panels to Cornelius Reynolds (died 1828) - west side - his wife, Elizabeth (died 1816) - east side - and a eulogy to the latter - south side - all with nailhead ornament and fluted corner spandrels. Rectangular railed enclosure on brick base has pointed finials and urn- shaped standards.
