Description

CORSHAM CHURCH SQUARE ST 8770 5/51 Reynolds monument in churchyard by west boundary wall, about 41m north of north-west end of Church of St. Bartholomew GV II

Chest tomb, later C18, ashlar with north side draped plaque with cherubs heads flanked by ornate fruit and flower drop. Baluster corners. South side fielded plaque with egg-and-dart moulded frame and floral drops flanking. Moulded cornice with pulvinated frieze broken forward over centre. North side inscription to Sarah Reynolds, died 1777.
