Description

LITTLE SOMERFORD THE STREET ST 98 SE (north side) 3/276 Two Reynolds monuments in churchyard about 3m south of chancel of Church of St John the Baptist GV II Two chest tombs, early C19, ashlar. From north: a) Mary Reynolds monument with angle pillars, moulded base and capstone and two fielded plaques each side. Inscription to Mary (died 1805) and John (died 1813) Reynolds. b) Mary Reynolds monument, ornate with moulded base and cornice, fluted frieze and vase baluster angles. Draped large plaque each side with cherub heads, and floral drop flanking. Inscription to Mary Reynolds died 1810.
