14/151 Two unidentified monuments in churchyard about 2m east of south-east angle of Church of St Mary

II GV

Two chest tombs, late C18, ashlar. From south: a) Chest tomb with slab sides and 2 incised plaques each side, fluted frieze and moulded capstone. b) Chest tomb with large north side bordered oval plaque with cherub heads in spandrels, draped urns each side and husk drops on angle piers. Moulded base and cornice with fluted frieze. South side has two plaques with drapery drop between and fluted angle piers with oval paterae.
