Description
Nos 4 and 5 High Street are a pair of houses dating from the 18th century. They are constructed of red brick and feature a thatched half-hipped roof, with a ridge stack and a stack at the south end. The buildings are two storeys high with an attic.
No 4 has a leaded triple casement window with an iron opening light above a cambered-head triple casement. To the right, there is a 20th-century door with a flat timber hood supported by cut brackets.
No 5 features a six-panel door with a similar hood, along with a triple casement window on each floor to the left. To the right, there is a leaded casement pair on the first floor and a cambered-head 16-pane sash window on the ground floor. There is also a single-storey addition to the right, which has a plain-tile roof that is hipped to the south, a cambered-head triple casement, and a cambered-head door.
