Description
Vine Cottage is a house dating from the early to mid 18th century, built of red brick with ashlar dressings. It features a Bridgwater tile roof and a 19th-century stack at the east end. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a narrow two-window front that includes a 20th-century flat dormer. The ashlar flush quoins and surrounds frame the openings. On the left side, there is a 20th-century door set in a raised moulded surround, topped with a hood on brackets, and above it, a 12-pane sash window in a flush beaded surround. On the right side, each floor has a pair of 12-pane sash windows in beaded surrounds; the lower pair has gauged brick voussoirs above and an ashlar keystone. There is also a Sun Fire plaque dated 198019. A 20th-century single-storey addition is located to the right.
