Description
The Post Office is a house built in the late 18th century or early 19th century, constructed of red brick with a concrete-tiled mansard roof. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring two 20th-century sloping dormers. The main front includes a door on the left, which is sheltered by a 20th-century pedimental timber hood, and a two-window range with cambered-head windows. The original gauged brick heads are visible above the two upper windows and the ground floor left window. The ground floor right window has been replaced by a shop front that includes a glazed door flanked by four-pane windows, all set under a cambered arch. The ground floor left window retains its original 15-pane sash, while the upper windows have been replaced with 20th-century triple casements. This building is included for its group value.
