A group of two monuments is located about 10 yards north-west of the south-west buttress of the transept of the Church of St Mary. The first is a chest tomb for James Matthews, who died in 1824. It is made of sandstone ashlar and features a moulded base, slightly hipped curved capping, fluted quarter corner columns, and an oval inscription panel. The second monument is a chest tomb for Mary Johnson, who died in 1817. This tomb is also made of sandstone ashlar and includes a moulded base, flat moulded capping, fluted side margins, and oval inscription panels set in a rectangular panel with fan motifs at the corners, flanked by an inner pair of raised fluted panels.
