Description

The farmhouse is likely from the 17th and 18th centuries, with an addition dating to the 19th century. It is timber-framed with a rubble base, brick infill panels, and a slate roof. A chimney is located on the left-hand side. The farmhouse is one storey and attic, comprising three bays with a further rubble bay to the right. The ground floor has 19th-century cross casement windows, one on either side of the entrance, and two raking four-light dormers in the attic. A 20th-century brick entrance porch with a stone slate roof sits in the second bay from the left, containing a 20th-century planked door. The timber frame is composed of regular panels, with three sections from the base to the wall-plate. A cursory inspection of the interior revealed surviving partitions separating each bay, and trusses with raking struts from tie-beams to principals. The right-hand side extension, which is a continuation of the timber-framed construction under a common roof, is built of rubble and features a 19th-century ledged door.
