Description

The gate piers, gates, and railings at the main entrance to Leighton Hall date from the late 18th century. They are constructed from sandstone ashlar and wrought iron. The gate piers are square in shape and feature moulded plinths and capping, with those at the gates topped by globe finials. The gates are designed with scrolled wrought iron and have urn-shaped standards. The railings, which are set on low stone quadrant walls, include pointed finials and urn-shaped standards that match those on the gates.
