Description
No. 15 Tower Street is a shop and dwelling that features an early 19th-century front attached to an earlier core. The building is made of painted brick and has a slate roof, with a large square brick end stack on the left side. It stands three stories tall and includes a cellar. The front has a single window range, which consists of a late 19th-century 2/2 sash window beneath a grooved stucco lintel with a keyblock. Above this, there is a 20th-century three-light casement window set in an earlier frame. The late 19th-century shopfront extends under part of No. 16 and includes a central half-glazed panelled door flanked by windows featuring round glazing shafts and single horizontal glazing bars, topped with a moulded fascia. The right side of the building is finished with lath and plaster. This property is included for its group value.
