Description
No. 3 Old Street is a house that has been converted into flats, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a 20th-century Welsh slate roof. It stands three stories high and has a three-window range. The central window is a 20th-century 6/6 sash, flanked by 8/8 sashes, all set beneath grooved stucco lintels. Above, there are 3/6 and 4/8 sashes under timber lintels. The ground floor, which previously served as a bank front, was rebuilt in the late 20th century and features two 8/8 sashes. To the right, there is a square-headed passage leading to the rear, with all elements under grooved stucco lintels and a leaded storey band above. Inside the passageway, the former entrance has been replaced with a 2-light casement, while the current entrance to the flats is located at the rear. The rear of the building is rendered and has 20th-century casements above the passageway. This property is included for its group value.
