Description
No. 7 Old Street is a house that has been converted into a café, shop, and dwelling. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of rendered brick with a slate roof and a brick stack at the end. The building has three storeys and a cellar, featuring a two-window range with 8/8 sashes on the lower floor and 4/8 sashes above. There is a 20th-century shopfront and café entrance. To the right, there is a rendered former party wall, while the rear includes an early 18th-century brick and rubble range that is two storeys high with an attic. This rear section has a blocked light with an oak frame under a timber lintel, a stringcourse, brick lateral stacks, and a small corner stack. The roof is covered with old tiles, and the gable is roughcast with a 19th-century casement window above a 20th-century glazed door leading to a fire escape.
