Description

This late 18th century house, now a shop and dwelling, is located on Old Street in Ludlow. It is three storeys high with a cellar, and originally had a two-window front. The building is constructed of painted brick with a plain tile roof, and features a brick end stack on the left. The original windows are 8/8 sashes with stone sills and keyed stucco lintels. There are also 4/4 sashes located above. A late 20th century six-panel door is set within a plain doorcase, which is sheltered by a flat, moulded hood supported by fluted pilasters. A later 20th century double shopfront with a central door has also been added. The right-hand gable, facing Pepper Lane, has been rendered and contains two 20th century windows. The rear wall has been rebuilt in brick during the late 20th century.
