Description

No. 5 Church Street is a house that has been converted into a restaurant and dwelling. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of brick with a slate roof and a brick end stack. The building has three storeys and a cellar, featuring a single-window range. The front includes a canted bay with 2/2, 6/6, and 2/2 sash windows beneath a moulded cornice, while above are recessed 8/8 sash windows. There is a late 19th-century shopfront with a 20th-century door and glazing bars, along with the original fasciaboard and cornice. The rear of the building retains 19th-century window designs.
