Description
No. 12 Station Street is a house that was formerly used as a shop, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rendered and colourwashed brick, topped with a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and a dormer attic, featuring a two-window range. The facade includes two full-height canted bay windows, which are fitted with 20th-century horned sashes in 1/1 and 2/2 configurations. The ground-floor bays have been entirely replaced in the late 20th century, removing the former shop display window, and the central door has been blocked. The gabled roof has two flat-topped dormers that contain 2-light casements. The original stacks have been removed, and there is a full-height rear outshut with 20th-century details. The interior has not been inspected. The building was converted to a shop in the late 19th century and reverted back to a house in the 1980s.
