Description
Fincham House is a house from the early 18th century that was refronted around 1830. It is built of red brick and has a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and a dormer attic, featuring a three-window range. There are pilaster strips on both the right and left sides of the elevation. The central entrance has a four-panelled door, with the upper two panels being glazed. This door is framed by a reeded doorcase with reeded consoles that support a hood. To the left of the entrance, there is a two-over-two horned sash window beneath a gauged skewback arch. On the right side, there is a late 19th-century canted bay window fitted with one-over-one and two-over-two unhorned sashes. The first floor has three two-over-two horned sash windows, also under gauged skewback arches. The building features a dentil eaves cornice and a gabled roof, with two flat-topped dormers, each containing a two-light casement window. There are internal gable-end stacks on both the north and south sides. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
