Description

This house, now a shop, dates from around 1830 and was converted to commercial use in the late 20th century. It is located on Station Street in Swaffham. The building is constructed of rendered and colourwashed brick, with pantiled roofs. The front facade is two storeys high and has a three-window arrangement. A modern glazed door is set within a timber doorcase with a decorative frieze and hood, situated in the centre of the facade. A further modern glazed door is located to the right of the elevation, and there are two modern plate-glass shop display windows at street level. The first floor contains three original 1/1 sash windows, which are unhorned. The roof is gabled, with a chimney stack positioned to the left of centre, and a truncated internal gable-end stack to the south. A two-storey rear cross wing features casement and sash windows. The interior contains no features of particular interest.
