UPTON MAGNA Allen memorial approximately 10 metres to south of nave of Church of St Lucia

GV II Pedestal tomb. Late C18 or early C19. Grey sandstone ashlar. Panelled plinth with moulded top, battered sides with Gothic-panelled corner piers, and moulded cornice to pyramidal top. Inscribed: ".... of the Memory of/ JANE the daughter of/JOHN and JANE ALLEN, of/ ..... died March 11th 1791/ Aged 8 months". Further inscriptions illegible at time of survey (February 1985).
