Description
The Allen monument, located in the churchyard at the Old Church of St James, was erected in 1827 in memory of William Allen. This churchyard monument is made of limestone and features a neat Neo-classical tombchest raised on a single step. It has a moulded plinth, fluted corner pilasters, and a raised and fielded panel with convex quadrant corners on each face. The top slab is moulded and includes the primary inscription.
