Description

The gatescreen, piers, and gates at The Coach House were built around 1896 for Mrs. Prior and originally served Netherfield House, which now has its own access. The structure features ornamental wrought iron double gates in the Arts and Crafts style, along with standards and side rails, including a wicket in the right-hand railings. These elements are positioned between two tall, slender square stone piers topped with ball finials. The gate standards end in lights designed to resemble beacon braziers.
