Description
The monument to Ann Allen is a low chest tomb located approximately 8 metres south of the south transept of the Church of St Mary. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of sandstone. The tomb features a flat, fully inscribed top with square edges, plain sides, and a simple base. It commemorates Ann Allen, who died in 1761. This monument is identical in design to the adjacent monument for William Allen to the north and is the southernmost of a group of three monuments arranged in a north-south alignment in this area.
