Description
This barn, located approximately 30 meters south-west of Fernyleas, dates from the late 17th century and has undergone later alterations. The exterior features 20th-century iron sheeting that conceals the timber frame, topped with a corrugated iron roof. Inside, the barn is open to the roof throughout, with an entrance on the north side accessed through double doors in the third bay from the right. The interior reveals visible framing, with vertical posts that have been largely renewed. The roof structure consists of a single-purlin design spanning five unequal bays, featuring outer collar and tie beam trusses, along with two trusses that have curved principals at the center and curved windbraces.
