Description
This barn, located approximately 60 meters west of Bridge Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century and has undergone later alterations. It features a weatherboarded and corrugated iron-clad timber frame with a corrugated iron roof. The barn has two levels, with doorways positioned to the left and right of the center on the south side. The right doorway is flanked by 20th-century windows, and there is an eaves hatch directly above. Inside, the framing is visible, showcasing square panels with two sections extending from the cill to the wall-plate and jowled wall posts. The roof is a single-purlin design with collar and tie beam trusses, except for the first truss from the left, which includes queen-posts and braces connecting the tie beam to the wall posts, along with straight and slightly curved windbraces. There is a loft above the three right bays. This barn is included for its group value.
