Description
This milepost, located at National Grid Reference SJ 5246 3345 in Wem Rural, dates from the mid-19th century. It is made of painted cast iron and features a triangular section that is hollow at the back with a chamfered top. The left side of the milepost has the inscription "WEM/3/MILES," while the right side displays "WHITCHURCH/6/MILES."
