Description
This is a milepost from the mid-19th century, made of painted cast iron. It has a triangular section that is hollow at the back and features a chamfered top. The left side of the milepost has the inscription "WEM/1/MILE," while the right side reads "WHITCHURCH/8/MILES." An earlier milestone is still present behind it.
