Description
This is a milepost, likely from the mid-to-late 19th century. It is made of cast iron with a black painted base and features raised lettering. The milepost has a triangular shape with a chamfered top that slopes to the front. The top is lettered "MAER," while the left side displays "PIPEGATE 3/WOORE 4¼/NANTWICH 12¼," and the right side shows "STONE 9."
