This milepost, located at the National Grid Reference SJ 8101 3879, is likely from the mid-to-late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a black painted base with raised lettering. The milepost has a triangular shape with a chamfered top that slopes to the front. The top is lettered "STABLEFORD," while the left side indicates distances to "PIPEGATE 5/WOORE 6 ½"/ NANTWICH 14 ½," and the right side shows "STONE 7."
