Description

This milepost, likely from the mid-to-late 19th century, is made of cast iron and features a black painted base with raised lettering. It has a triangular shape with a chamfered top that slopes towards the front. The top is inscribed with "MADELEY," while the left side displays "BETLEY 2/BASFORD 5/ NANTWICH 9½" and the right side shows "KEELE 3/NEWCASTLE 6."
