Description

No. 63 New Street is an early 19th-century red brick house featuring a hipped roof covered with Welsh slate. The building has a dentilled and stuccoed cornice and a cill band on the first floor. It stands two storeys high and has three bays, each with sash windows that include glazing bars and plain stone lintels. The central doorway is framed by panelled reveals and topped with a rectangular fanlight, leading to a panelled door. The entrance is accentuated by a porch supported by fluted Ionic columns and a heavy entablature. On either side of the house, there are single-storey bays with ogee-shaped gables, each adorned with urns on pillars.
