Description
No. 3 Barker Street is a house that was originally built in 1725 and later restored and rebuilt as offices and shops in 1935. The building is constructed of brick and features a hipped plain tiled roof. It stands three storeys tall and has a three-window range. The ground floor has an inserted shop front that is stuccoed, with a central door. The upper windows are 12-pane sashes, each topped with flat-arched gauged brick heads that include keystones, connecting with a string course above the first floor and a modillion eaves cornice above the second floor. The building has angle quoins and a parapet adorned with side urns. There are two date stones: one from 1725 with the initials D over WS, and another from 1935 with the initials C over WS.
