Description
Barker's Chambers is a shop and office building located in Shrewsbury, constructed in 1937 while restoring an earlier 18th-century structure. The building is made of brick and features a plain tiled roof. It has three storeys and a five-window range, with a prominent entrance bay on the left side. The round-arched doorway includes a fanlight and voussoirs. To the right, there is an inserted shop front. The building has 12-pane sash windows with flat-arched gauged brick heads that feature keystones. Above the door, there is a window with a moulded stone architrave. The date of construction is displayed in a cartouche above the entrance bay, which forms part of the eaves parapet. The building also has end wall stacks.
