Description

No. 8 Claremont Hill is a house from the later 18th century, possibly with an earlier core. It is constructed of brick and has a plain tiled roof. The building has a two-unit plan and is two stories high, featuring a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door with a fanlight, set in a pedimented case with panelled rebates. This door is flanked by 12-pane sash windows that have flat-arched gauged brick heads. The house also has a parapet eaves cornice and a stack at the gable end.
