Description
This is a pair of houses located at 20 Claremont Hill, dating from the 18th century but built over an earlier structure that likely dates back to the 17th century. The houses are constructed of brick, possibly over a timber frame, and feature a plain tiled roof. They are two stories high, each with a single-unit plan. The doorway to No. 20 is situated in a passage, and both houses have 12-pane sash windows that do not align. No. 21 has its doorway to the left, which is set beneath a mock pediment, along with a 12-pane sash window. The buildings have a dentilled eaves cornice and gable dormer windows in the attic. The upper storey of No. 20 was rebuilt in the 20th century.
