Description
No. 121 Union Street is a house that has been converted into offices, dating from around 1820. It is constructed of brick and has a slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall and features a three-window range, with the central bay slightly projecting and the corners emphasized by brick pilasters. The central entrance includes a fanlight set within a moulded architrave, supported by console brackets and topped with an entablature.
The ground floor has tripartite sash windows, while the upper floors feature 2-pane sash windows. The second floor has pivoting windows that have been replaced but remain in their original openings. All windows are adorned with very wide splayed brick arched heads. A stone cornice and blocking course sit atop the building, with a shallow pedimented central block. There are two windows on the wide gable return and a central round-arched stair window at the rear. A stack is located on the right-hand gable.
