Description
The former Post Office, now used as a library and offices, was built in 1877. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a shallow pitched Welsh slate roof, showcasing a Neo-classical style. The building is two storeys high and has a seven-window range, with a central entrance framed by a moulded architrave. The windows are two-pane sash types, also with moulded architraves, and are positioned between pilasters. There is an additional doorway to the right that is now disused. A cornice above the ground floor serves as a sill band for the upper two-pane sash windows, which are also set in moulded architraves with entablatures. The building is topped with a stone cornice and parapet that steps over the end and central bays, featuring a shallow pediment above a blind panel in the centre.
