Description

This is a milepost located in Church Stretton, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of painted cast iron and features a two-sided angled stem that widens at the head, connecting to a triangular top panel. The left side of the milepost has the wording: "WENLOCK 11 5 FU; TO THE WYNSTAY ARMS." The right side reads: "STRETTON 1; TO THE MARKET HALL."
