Description

This is a milepost located on London Road in Loggerheads, dating from the mid-to-late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a black painted base with raised lettering. The milepost has a triangular shape with a chamfered top that slopes towards the front. The top is lettered "KNIGHTON," while the left side indicates "ECCLESHALL 11/STAFFORD 18," and the right side shows "WOORE 1¼ /NANTWICH 9¼."
