Milepost. Probably mid-to-late C19. Cast iron with black painted base and raised lettering. Triangular in section with chamfered top, sloping to front. Lettered "ASHLEY" on top; "ECCLESHALL 7/STAFFORD 14" on left; "KNIGHTON3¾ /PIPEGATE 4½ /MARKET DRAYTON 5¼/W00RE 3¼/ NANTWICH 14" on right. -
