Description
Milepost located at the National Grid Reference SJ 7370 3586, likely dating from the mid-to-late 19th century. It is made of cast iron with a black painted base and features raised lettering. The milepost has a triangular shape with a chamfered top that slopes towards the front. The top is lettered "BLORE," while the left side indicates "MARKET DRAYTON 4." The right side lists distances to various locations: "ASHLEY 1½ / WHITMORE 5¾ / ECCLESHALL 71½ / NEWCASTLE 10 / STAFFORD 14½."
