Description
White House Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from around 1800, with later additions from the 19th century. It is constructed of brick, rendered except for the rear, and has a plain tile hipped roof with ridge stacks on both the left and right sides. The building stands two storeys high and features a late 20th century wooden modillion eaves cornice. There are three windows, which are glazing bar sashes with stone cills. The central entrance has a late 19th century door with a fanlight from around 1800, and it is flanked by a late 20th century brick and timber porch. At the rear, there is a two-storey lean-to addition that was formerly marked with a datestone, believed to be from around 1860, and it has three casement windows under cambered heads. Additionally, there is a mid-19th century cast iron pump located at the rear. The farmhouse is included in the register partly due to its imposing and prominent presence in the landscape.
