Description

This milepost, located on the south-west side of the A458 in Harley, dates from the mid- to late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a triangular shape with a chamfered top that slopes to the front and has a hollow back. The top of the post is inscribed with "WENLOCK/1 1/2", while the left side reads "SALOP/11/TO THE COUNTY HALL" and the right side states "B.NORTH/9 1/2 /TO THE TOWN HALL".
