Description

This milepost, located in Baschurch, is likely from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of painted cast iron and has a hollow rear. The post is triangular in shape, widening at the top, which has a chamfered edge sloping towards the front. The top of the post features the inscription "B CHURCH / PARISH," while the left side reads "SALOP / 7 MILES" and "TO THE COUNTY HALL." The right side states "B CHURCH / 1¼ MILES" and "TO THE PARISH CHURCH."
