Description

This milepost, located on the south side of Shrewsbury Road in Cressage, dates from the mid- to late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a triangular shape with a chamfered top that slopes towards the front and has a hollow back. The top of the post is inscribed with "WENLOCK/4 1/2", while the left side reads "SALOP/8/T0 THE COUNTY HALL" and the right side states "B.NORTR/12 1/2 /TO THE TOWN HALL".
